Inaugural Tuff Truck Competition Tuff Truck

Any 2WD & 4WD motor vehicles will be permitted to enter any of the (4) classes available.

  1. Driver must be at least 16 years old or have a minor release form signed by parent or guardian ,if under age 18. Each driver may enter only one time per class.
  1. All contestants must sign a waiver understanding that they are competing at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, employees, event sponsors, Last Chance Motorsports or the Houlton Agricultural Fair Association. By signing the release form you agree to all rules .
  1. Registration will be conducted on raceday from 11:30am til time of Race. Registration Entry fee will be the Gate Fee per competitor for class entered. Each Additional Class is $5.00 per racer per class
  1. All drivers MUST wear Snell approved helmet (strapped) with safety glasses, long sleeved shirts, pants and closed footwear. Racesuits are recommended.
  1. All vehicles must pass tech inspection before competing. If the officials determine a vehicle is unsafe, officials have the right to not allow vehicle to compete.   TECH INSPECTION AREA CLOSES ONE HOUR BEFORE SESSION IS SCHEDULED TO START.
  1. All vehicles registered for the 4WD Stock class MUST be registered, inspected & insured [street legal]
  1. All drivers must attend mandatory driver’s meeting, which will be at 10:30 am.
  2. If any vehicle and/or driver are disqualified for any reason, no refund of entry fee or pit fee will be

awarded. DRIVER AND PIT CREW ENTERS PIT AREA FREE.

  1. Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the track, pit area, and staging area and fair facilities. Track officials have the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. Pit and staging areas speed limit is 5 mph or less.
  1. Competitor must wait for the green flag from Starting Flagman before starting the run. Competitor must stop immediately upon signal from the red flag displayed by the Flagman. All race procedures must be followed, as instructed.
  1. Track officials will have the option to check competitors for rule violations at any time during the event, without dispute.
  1. All contestants must drive vehicle onto track and into position to compete under its own power and must leave track under its own power unless for breakage.
  1. No one allowed on racecourse except for approved track officials or emergency personnel.
  1. Nitrous oxide or accelerators are not permitted. No nitrous oxide allowed, regardless. Diesel fuel permitted in diesel engines.
  1. Recommended that all vehicles carry an active 5 lb.dry chemical fire extinguisher.
  1. Seat belts (lap belt and shoulder strap) required and must be worn. 4 or 5 point harness recommended. Window nets are also preferred.
  1. All side windows {glass} must be removed or minimum rolled down for safety purposes.
  1. All vehicles must have a 4 wheel hydraulic brake system in good working condition. No individual wheel brakes allowed.
  1. If battery is relocated it must be in a plastic battery box securely mounted, covered by a non-conductive material .
  1. All pickup truck beds must be firmly attached to the chassis. Tailgates must be securely fastened or removed. All wheel lugs must be present and tightened.
  1. Stock fuel tanks in stock locations are highly recommended. Any others must have a fuel cell or boat fuel tank secured and covered with non –conductive material. No exposed fuel lines in driver’s compartment areas.
  1. NO alcoholic beverages or substances of any illegal content will be allowed or tolerated, if any suspicion thereof will be an automatic removal from event. Each competitor will be responsible for their crews actions.
  1. Contest will be governed by track officials and Competition Director with all decisions final.
  1. The Competition Director or track officials reserve the right to change any safety rules if they feel it is necessary.
  1. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/ OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The Competition Director shall be empowered to permit restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

CONTEST OPENED TO 16 YEARS AND OLDER - ALL MINORS MUST HAVE A WAIVER SIGNED BY PARENTS WHEN REGISTERING.

1) This is supposed to be fun for the kids, Parents, PLEASE don’t ruin it for them.
2) This is for kids ages 4-7.
3) Derby is limited to 6 or 12 volt power wheel only.
4) No added reinforcement for strength, let the kids have fun painting them.
5) Stock tires only, no screws in tires, No Chains, Etc.
6) Do not raise or lower. Power Wheels must sit like it came from the store.
7) Stock battery can be replaced with 12 volt lawn mower battery. Batteries MUST be secured.
8) Helmets are mandatory, bicycle helmet is ok.
9) Seatbelts are Mandatory
10) No Passengers.
11) Each Power Wheel will have 3 Balloons on Back & 2 On Front. Last one with balloons remaining wins the heat. Minimum 8 Power Wheels Per Heat
12) No Playing Possum Allowed. Get in and Have Fun
13) Everyone must Pre Register
14) Registration & Inspection is from 6:45pm to 7:30pm on Saturday July 1st 2017
15) Contest is at 7:30pm SHARP on Sunday July 1st 2017in the Little League Field

Houlton Agricultural Fair
Second Annual Charity Motorcycle Rally
To Benefit the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporation
Sunday July 2nd, 2017
Registration at 8:00 a.m.
Riders Meeting at 9:30 a.m.
Kickstands up at 10:00 a.m.

This ride is approximately 65 miles through scenic Southern Aroostook county.

Cost: $25 driver, $15 passenger

Promotion: 20.00 Driver; $10.00 Passenger on early registrations. (Sale ends at 6:00pm Saturday July 1st
You must pay after registering to qualify for this promotion.

Price includes admission to the fairgrounds on July 2nd (rides not included), free t shirt for first 100 participants (which includes driver and passenger) and a meal to follow after the ride.
Waiver forms must be signed at check-in for both driver and passenger.
(Minors must have permission waiver signed by parent/guardian)

 2017 Rules and Regulations

1. All riders must wear an approved helmet and wear long pants. Helmet must be strapped.
2. Anyone under 18  riding must have an adult present.
3. All machines racing must have operating brakes.
4. One rider per bike, per class.
5. Utility machines must be production ATV’s as intended by manufacturer, make, model and year.
6. All machines must be naturally aspirated. Non-naturally aspirated will be allowed in the open classes only.
7. No machines started or ridden until you have registered, and no machines are to leave the pit or racing area.
8. Pit area speed is idle speed only.
9. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers permitted in the racing area.
10. No refunds after start of class.
11. Riders are to have their machines up at the starting area when your class is running, and listen for your name to be called. (No engines running while being called to the staging lines.
12. The first name called for each race will be in lane one, the second name called will be in lane two.
13. Track official’s decisions will be final.
14. No nitrous bottles on bikes, except for open class.
15. Studded or spiked tires are prohibited.
16. Gate pass will include registration for the event.
